As expected, Leah Caffrey is taking up Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh and she gets in a superb block from the Kerry star’s first attempt.

Ní Mhuircheartaigh gets the better of the second exchange, earning a free which she puts over the bar.

7 mins: Dublin 0-3 Kerry 0-1

Brilliant run from Jennifer Dunne which ends with Kate Sullivan winning a free. Tyrrell swings it over to restore Dublin’s two-point lead.

Very pacey start to the game as Tyrrell splits the posts again with a brilliant effort to put three between the sides.

Anna Galvin wins a free which ends up with Kerry switching the play and gaining another point through Niamh Carmody.

12 mins: Dublin 0-5 Kerry 0-2

Jennifer Dunne responds with a brilliant long range effort at the other end. Dublin’s Aoife Kane ships a heavy tackle while trying to carry the ball through and play is halted briefly as Kane receives treatment.

13 mins: Dublin 0-5 Kerry 0-3

Goal chance there for Kerry as the Kingdom overturn possession in their own half and work the ball down as far as Ní Mhuircheartaigh who blasts the ball over to bring the difference down to two.

15 mins: Dublin 0-6 Kerry 0-3

Caoimhe O’Connor wins a free for Dublin after a scorching run from along the endline. She wins a free as she was being tracked by Caít Lynch and Tyrrell obliges.

18 mins: Dublin 0-7 Kerry 0-3

O’Connor adds to Dublin’s tally with a well-taken point. Kerry come down and create another goal chance but Lorraine Scanlon’s effort is blocked down.

19 mins: Dublin 0-8 Kerry 0-3

Tyrrell puts Dublin five points clear and Mick Bohan’s side are really starting to take control of this final. Kerry need a reprieve to give them some breathing space.

22 mins: Dublin 0-9 Kerry 0-3

O’Connor wins another free for Dublin after being fouled by Lynch. It’s another easy tap over for Tyrrell.

24 mins: Dublin 0-10 Kerry 0-3

Another Tyrrell puts Dublin further in front. Kerry are struggling to get out of their own half as Dublin continue to bombarde at speed.

28 mins: Dublin 0-11 Kerry 0-3

Kerry’s Hannah O’Donoghue makes a brilliant break to get inside her marker and make a dart through the Dublin defence. But her attempted handpass is cut out by Lauren Magee.

Dublin work an attack that gets as far as Tyrrell and she floats her shot over the bar. Kerry are now in danger of drifting out of this contest.

28 mins: Dublin 0-11 Kerry 0-3

Kerry’s Louise Galvin cuts inside the Dublin cover nicely and sets up a goal opportunity. But Dublin’s defence has been excellent so far and they snuff out another threat.

29 mins: Dublin 0-11 Kerry 0-4

Ní Mhuircheartaigh kicks a much-needed free to put something on the board for Kerry with half-time coming in the next few seconds.

Half-Time: Dublin 0-11 Kerry 0-4

Dublin 0-11 Kerry 0-4

A super first-half performance from Dublin. Hannah Tyrrell and Caoimhe O’Connor causing plenty of problems for the Kerry backs while Leah Caffrey is keeping close tabs on Louise Ní Mhuircheartaigh at the other end.

Kerry have had some goal chances but Dublin’s defence are holding their lines firmly to prevent any leaks.

Second Half: Dublin 0-11 Kerry 0-4

Dublin 0-11 Kerry 0-4

Kerry half-time change: Mary O’Connell on for Louise Galvin

Dublin half-time change: Ellen Gribben on for Jodi Egan

34 mins: Dublin 0-11 Kerry 0-6

Niamh Carmody gets her second point with a brilliant effort. She gets involved in the next attack too, winning a free for Ní Mhuircheartaigh to pop over the bar and that’s an ideal start to the second half for Kerry.

35 mins: Dublin 0-13 Kerry 0-6

Brilliant response from Dublin as Kate Sullivan glides through and kicks a point, followed by a lovely right-footed effort from their captain Carla Rowe. In the blink of an eye, they’ve cancelled out Kerry’s progress.

38 mins: Dublin 0-13 Kerry 0-8

Ní Mhuircheartaigh adds another free to reduce the gap to six. Kerry win the kickout and Ní Mhuircheartaigh earns a free off Caffrey to give her another easy free to convert.

Five between them now.

39 mins: Dublin 0-13 Kerry 0-8

Kerry intercept the kickout through Danielle O’Leary, who creates space for herself to go for a point. However, her high rising effort trails wide. That’s a pivotal moment as Kerry need all the momentum to eat into the gap.

42 mins: Dublin 0-14 Kerry 0-8

Super defensive work from Caffrey to get a hand in on Ní Mhuircheartaigh as she attempts to pick up the ball.

Niamh Heatherton has just been introduced and she kicks a brilliant point to make her presence felt. Aoife Kane is off.

45 mins: Dublin 0-15 Kerry 0-8

Amazingly, injured Kerry captain Síofra O’Shea is on the pitch despite recently suffering a torn ACL, coming in for Hannah O’Donoghue.

Carla Rowe points for Dublin at the other end.

47 mins: Dublin 0-16 Kerry 0-8

Jennifer Dunne continues her fine form in 2023 with a nice point off her left foot. There’s some daylight starting to appear between the sides.

Kerry sub: Amy Harrington comes on for Niamh Ní Chonchúir

51 mins: Dublin 0-17 Kerry 0-9

Carla Rowe and Aishling O’Connell trade scores but it’s Dublin who still hold the advantage.

Emma Costello then comes charging at the Dublin territory and wins a free but Ní Mhuircheartaigh kicks it wide.

53 mins: Dublin 0-17 Kerry 0-9

Dublin stalwart Sinéad Aherne comes on for Kate Sullivan.

GOAL! Dublin 0-17 Kerry 1-9 (Ní Mhuircheartaigh ’56)

57 mins: Dublin 0-17 Kerry 1-10

Kerry certainly needed that as Ní Mhuircheartaigh palms the ball to the net and follows it up with a free to reduce the gap to four.

But have they run out of time?

59 mins: Dublin 0-17 Kerry 1-10

Brilliant block from Caffrey and that should be that/

59 mins: Dublin 0-18 Kerry 1-10

Rowe kicks another brilliant point to put the lid on it.

Full-Time! Dublin 0-18 Kerry 1-10

Dublin 0-18 Kerry 1-10

What a finish!

Kerry threatened a miracle late rally to victory but it just came too late as Carla Rowe stepped up to kick that vital point that left the final difference at five points.

Hannah Tyrrell has been named the Player of the Match after a superb game.

Such heartbreak for Kerry who have now lost two All-Ireland finals in-a-row, while for Dublin, they’re back on top again after a three-year wait since their last triumph.

Well, that’s all from us folks. Stick around for our live match report from Emma Duffy who is in Croke Park for The42 today.

All the best, and goodbye for now.
